Henry Mros, M.Sc., is a RF Network Design Engineer & Geographic Information Science (GIS) specialist who has experience that ranges from high-growth start-ups to international agencies.
Strategize and design robust 5G mmWave RF solutions and PTP/PTMP links across markets to meet and improve various network KPIs. Scout, select, and design sites for optimal network integration including radio and antenna selection as well as placement. Manage search area issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals. Redesign mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR. Create and manage site & link RFDSs. Manage market network maps and develop custom mapping tools (geo-developing).
Designed and conducted two university courses for the 2020-2021 academic year
Computer Cartography (Level 3000): A course designed to teach Construction Technology & Earth Science university students the nature and purpose of mappable information, the elements of map design, and the methods of map construction.
Geographic Information Systems (Level 4000): An intermediate course designed to teach university students the concepts and applications of geographic information systems (GIS) including apportionment, geocoding, 3D modeling, raster processing, LOS analysis, fly-through animation, and creating process models.
Nationally certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCoach who trains and licenses motorcyclists. RiderCoaches conduct weekend-long motorcycle courses that include classroom learning and outdoor riding. Students who pass the course will receive their motorcycle endorsement on their driver's license.
Analyze, summarize, and map snowy owl nesting habits in Utqiaġvik, Alaska on behalf of the Owl Research Institute.
Worked for UN OCHA’s Digital Services Team to standardize and develop a Geo-Taxonomy service that would process and distribute international administrative boundary data.
Graphic Design Instructor for College Academy at Stonehill College. Taught digital design techniques and software to 120 students per summer, 4th to 9th grade.
Analyze, summarize, and map snowy owl nesting habits in Utqiaġvik, Alaska using spatial statistics and custom models.
Land Drill is a raster GIS tool that can identify, locate, and summarize large amounts of land change for many time points at once. Land Drill is written in the Wolfram Language and produces a series of images and .csv reports that visually and textually summarize all pixel-level changes that occur within the temporal extent of an image series.
With 25 years of global snow cover data, anomalous MA winters were analyzed to identify remote snow cover predictors across the globe. An area in Siberia was identified as the best remote predictor of anomalous winters in MA.
Performed a near real-time analysis of the third most destructive wildfire in CA’s history with Landsat 8 imagery. The total area affected and the burn severity of each type of land cover type was determined through the application of current spectral and statistical analyses.
Scripted a custom ArcMap toolbox designed to automate certain steps of the ITOS Administrative Boundaries Data Pre-processing Checklist. The ITOS Administrative Boundaries Data Pre-processing Checklist is used to evaluate essential characteristics of administrative boundary shapefiles before they are considered for acceptance into the collection of Common Operational Datasets (CODs). The COD toolbox significantly reduced the time needed to complete the more tedious steps of the data validation process.
